Cabin Crew Training: Medical Training
Being the only point of reference on board, the
cabin crew is prepared to deal with special situations such as sudden illnesses
and/or accidents.
Our professional trainers transfer the
information/notions required in order to recognise and assess symptoms and
provide first-aid.
Our medical training follows the programmes
established by ENAC, the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, and satisfies the
requirements of the European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAR OPS) with the
following courses:
• initial
medical training
• recurrent
medical training
Initial medical training, generally included in
the other basic courses (commercial & safety), has been designed to teach
unqualified people the notions of medicine and first-aid required to help
people in need of medical care.
Initial medical training involves 5 classroom
days and analyses the following topics:
• elements
of aeronautical medicine
• general
rules of survival and infectious diseases
• First
Aid Kit & Doctor’s Kit
The course is based on the procedures and
regulations of the customer Company which must provide its manuals or
specifications if r required.
A written/oral exam is held at the end of the
course to assess the preparation of the participants.
A certificate of attendance is issued if the course
is completed successfully.
Recurrent medical training, generally combined
with safety refresher o recurrent training, is designed for qualified staff who
must repeat all the notions of aeronautical medicine and practice first-aid
techniques.
Recurrent medical training involves ½ classroom
day and analyses the following topics:
• first-aid
notions and procedures
• frequent
pathologies
• using
the first-aid kit
The course is based on the procedures and
regulations of the customer Company which must provide its manuals or
specifications if required .
A written/oral exam is held at the end of the
course to assess the preparation of the participants.
A certificate of attendance is issued if the
course is completed successfully.
