“Il Bacio” by Francesco Hayez has been the symbol of Risorgimento battles because it represents Hayez’s patriotic ideas and also a historical period. For this reason this painting has been chosen for an itinerant exhibition that is part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Italian unification. In addition to the painting other three watercolours by Hayez and a copy of “Il Bacio” (version of 1859) will be displayed during the exhibition. More info on www.castello-miramare.it |

After a year from the death of Mila Schön, Trieste wants to honour this fashion designer who spent her childhood and youth in Trieste. Municipality of Trieste and History and Art Museums have organized an exhibition of 63 dresses by Mila Schön. These dresses, mainly evening dresses, are unique pieces from 1960s to 1980s and they distinguish theirself by precious pearls embroidery, pailettes and strass.
